Ministry of Finance approved ₹240.5 crore Tripura urban planning and development fund

Agartala: Mar 27: The Ministry of Finance has approved a significant fund of ₹240.5 crore for urban planning and development in Tripura. This allocation will be used to boost infrastructure and public services across the state, focusing on various development projects in the 20 municipal councils and urban panchayats. Chief Minister Professor (Dr.) Manik Saha expressed gratitude to Prime Minister Narendra Modi, Union Finance Minister Nirmala Sitharaman, and the Minister for Urban Development for their support in approving the funding. This approval reflects the central government's commitment to strengthening urban infrastructure in northeastern states, ensuring essential services and developmental activities reach urban areas ¹.
